Fuglederude.dk is a webshop and photo blog run by Otto and Per. We sell products featuring bird photography such as postcards, calendars, and posters.

What personal data we collect
When you make a purchase
When you place an order, we collect:
- Name
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Order details (products, amounts)
Automatically collected data
When you visit our website, our system automatically collects:
- Technical data (IP address, browser type, device type)
- Referral data (which site you came from)
- Visit data (pages viewed, time of visit)
- Products you’ve viewed: We use this to show you recently viewed products
- Shopping cart: We track what you’ve added to your cart while browsing
When you create an account
If you create an account, we store:
- Username and password (encrypted)
- Name, address, email and phone number
- Order history
This makes it easier for you to shop next time.
Why we collect data
We use your personal data to:
- Process and deliver your order
- Contact you regarding your order
- Improve our website and products
- Comply with legal requirements (accounting, VAT)
- Prevent fraud
- Calculate shipping and taxes
Marketing (with consent only)
If you subscribe to our newsletter or accept marketing, we will send you:
- Offers and promotions
- News about new products
- Information about Otto and Per’s photography
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in emails or contacting us.
Media files
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can potentially download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. See Gravatar’s privacy policy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

We use cookies that are necessary for the webshop to function:
- Shopping cart: Stores what you’ve added to your cart
- Login session: Keeps you logged in (lasts 2 days, or 2 weeks if you select “Remember Me”)
- WooCommerce functionality: Order tracking and attribution information
Third-party cookies
- Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google. This may result in your IP address being sent to Google. Google’s Privacy Policy
Caching (LiteSpeed Cache)
This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site.
- All cache files are temporary
- Never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor
- Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged before their natural expiration if necessary

Data retention
- Order data: Stored for 5 years per Danish accounting law
- Session data: Deleted after 30 days
- Account data: Stored as long as your account is active
- Reviews: Stored indefinitely (can be deleted upon request)

- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your data (except data we must retain by law)
- Receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent to data processing

Who has access to your data
Our team
Members of our team have access to your information to help you:
- Administrators: Full access to orders and customer information
- Shop managers: Access to orders, customer names, addresses and payment information
We use this data to process orders, handle refunds and provide support.
Data sharing
We only share your data with:
- Payment provider: For online payments (when implemented)
- Shipping company: Name and address for delivery
- Danish tax authorities: Accounting data as required by law
We never sell your data to third parties.
Security
We protect your data with:
- SSL encryption (HTTPS)
- Secure password storage
- Limited access to personal data
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced on the website.
